Betty Jane Taylor

Betty Jane Taylor, 79, of Wurtland, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born March 10, 1946, in Wurtland, KY, to the late John and Zera Maynard Taylor.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by four brothers: John Taylor Jr., Charles Taylor, Malcolm Taylor, Denny Taylor; and five sisters: Edith Holsinger, Minnie Faye Frazier, Cordi Lee Waggoner, Ruby Coleman, and Allie Bryan.

Betty was a store manager at SuperQuik for many years before retiring. She loved BINGO and traveling.

She is survived by her son, David Keith May of Wurtland, KY; daughter, Tina Renae Hall of New Smyrna, FL; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special companion James Harris; her loving dog, Dolly; a sister, Mildred Elliott; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Wilma Virgin; a special daughter, Lisa Stone; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Kenny Large officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
