Charley Adams, 96, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Adams was born July 3, 1924 in Shivley, WV, to the late Fred and Sally Adams.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Cox Adams and his second wife, Frances Waddle Adams; one granddaughter, Crissy Colegrove Perkins; a brother, Jude Farley; and two beloved son-in-laws, Ron Colegrove and Bob Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Sandra Adams Moore and Karen Adams Colegrove; three grandchildren, Ginger (Steve) French, David Baldridge, and Travis (Leah) Moore; six great-grandchildren: Adam (Angela) Woods, Amber (Tyler) Pennington, Erik (Erika) Woods, Jennifer (Chase) Woods, Cortanie Moore, and Robert Moore; five great- great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends: Rick (Valerie) Waddle, Maggie (Ricky), and Waylon.
Charley was a loving husband, parent, and grandparent. He was a Navy WWII Veteran and retired from ARMCO as a crane operator. Charley loved the Lord and served him through his ministry of preaching God’s Word.
The family would like to thank those who brought food to the home and everyone who expressed condolences.
During Charley’s life, he celebrated a large church family, who he loved and cherished. However, we do ask they be with the family in spirit rather than in person due to COVID-19.
There will be a private funeral service for family only.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY.
