Christine Gwendolyn McCarty Dillow

Christine Gwendolyn McCarty Dillow, 82, of Flatwoods, KY went on to heaven on Saturday, March 24, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dillow was born October 23, 1929 at Alcorn in Greenup Co., KY, a daughter of the late James Albert and Julina Dingus McCarty.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Dillow, a grandson, Adam Anthony Smith Sayer, a great-grandson, Brandon Stepp, and two sisters, Betty Burkitt and Helen Short.  Mrs. Dillow was of the Christian faith.  She was a past member of Greenup County Quilters, Poplar Highland Homemakers, and a member of Greenup County Fox Hunters Association. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Albert Dillow; a son, Michael (Bonnie) Dillow of Kitts Hill, OH; three daughters:  Sandra (Fred) McIntyre of Flatwoods, Patty (Jerry Lee) Dillow Smith of Greenup, KY, and Judy (David) Workman; two brothers:  Fred (Carolyn) Dingus of Batavia, OH, and James (Mary) McCarty of Mount Orb, OH; a sister, Frances (Ralph) McKinley of New Richmond, Ohio.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren:  Joseph Michael Smith, Chip and Mark Fluty, Rebecca Renee (Rob) Johnson, Sherri (Randy) Stepp, Angela Vinson, and David Albert Workman; 17 great-grandchildren:  Jessica, Amanda, Lea Jane, Bradley, Sarah, Emily, Adam, Benjamin, Samuel, Caleb, Hannah, Chloe, Morgan, Isaac, Ava, Chase, and Luke; and four great-great-grandchildren:  Ethan, Nevaeh, Logan, and Ava Jane. The funeral will be at 1 pm on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Minister Pete Roar officiating.  Burial will follow in Melvin Cemetery in Wurtland, KY.  The visitation will be Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 6 until 9 PM and from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.  For online condolences and web-casting of the funeral, visit BaileyFamilyFuneralHome.com.
