Connie Beatrice Powers

Connie Beatrice Conley Powers, 76, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wurtland, KY.

Connie was born May 11, 1949, in Paintsville, KY, to the late Oral and June Lavender Conley.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Doug (Liz) Conley; a sister, Bonnie (Archie) Conley Spires; her stepmother, Cora Mae Conley; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Conley.

Mrs. Powers retired from Paul Melvin State Farm Insurance Company as a licensed team member. She was very crafty and enjoyed quilting and cooking. She also loved working in her flower gardens. She could grow anything. She was a member of Campbell Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Ironton, OH.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Charles Richmond Powers of Flatwoods, KY; her son, Barry (Kelly) Powers; her daughter, LaDonna (Mitch) Powers Griffin; three grandchildren: Levi, Micah, and Garrett Griffin; two brothers, Delbert (Vivian) Conley, and Donald Conley; a sister, Ethel (Denvil) Mollette; and a host of extended family friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
