Francis Carolyn Horn

Francis “Carolyn” Horn, 73, of Worthington passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Horn was born May 2, 1938, in Wurtland, KY, a daughter of the late James and Marie Holt Welch.  She was also preceded in death by her husband George Horn in 1990, 3 brothers, Richard, David, and John Welch; and 3 sisters, Louise Newland, Betty Horn, and Glada Crum. Mrs. Horn attended Freedom Worship Church of God in Greenup. She was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, having picnics with her family, and listening to music. Mrs. Horn is survived by 3 sons: Jeff (Kathy) Horn of Wurtland, KY, Patrick (Charlotte) Horn of Raceland, KY, and Shannon (Anita) Deirfield of Big White Oak; 4 daughters; Vicki (David) Blanton of Lloyd, Fern (Steve) Kilgore of Lloyd, Diane (Leonard) McConnaha of Worthington, KY, and Gayle Dixon of Greenup, KY.  She is also survived by a brother, Paul Welch of Grayson, KY, 2 sisters; Kaye (Jeff) Bruce of Worthington, KY and Donna Young of Ashland, KY, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Kevin Witt, officiating. Burial will follow in Welch Cemetery in Greenup, KY.
