Hobert Marshall Dillon, 91, of Flatwoods, KY, passed on to his Heavenly reward, Monday, January 11, 2021, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Dillon was born October 14, 1929, in Willow Wood, OH, to the late Emory Franklin Dillon and Ines Hesson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dillon was preceded in death by his brother who is MIA in the Korean War, Emory Everett Dillon; stepmother, June Rouse Dillon; and two half-sister, Anna May Dillon and Nada O. Dillon Deborde. Soon after graduating from Russell High School in 1948, Hobert began working at Armco Steel in Ashland, KY as a crane operator. In his free time, he could be seen riding his bicycle and walking around town. He also loved riding his motorcycle. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Christ in Flatwoods, KY. Mr. Dillon is survived by two sons, Marshall S. Dillon of Flatwoods, KY and Jeffery A. (Kim) Dillon of Flatwoods, KY; three grandchildren: Derek (Lindsay) of Fort Thomas, KY, Ashley Dillon of Louisville, KY, Michael (Chelsea) of Flatwoods, KY, and; four great-grandchildren: Norah, Stella, Grant, and Eva; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Bro. Bob Overton officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required at all times. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the Community Hospice House (2330 Pollard Rd, Ashland, KY 41101).
