GREENUP — Jack B. Layne, 61, of Russell, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at his residence.Mr. Layne was born Oct. 13, 1950, in Ashland, a son of the late James W. and Mildred M. Ballengee Layne.  Mr. Layne was a security guard for Wackenhut Security Services.  He was a 1968 graduate of Russell High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 1972. He enjoyed collecting railroad memorabilia.  Mr. Layne is survived by two brothers, James W. Layne III of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Charles (Shirley) Layne of Russell; and three sisters, Tonya Massie of Florida, Judy Wilcox of Meads and Kiz Layne of Ashland.A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 11, 2012, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods by the Rev.
