Jane Bandy Norris

Jane Bandy Norris, 93, of Flatwoods, KY, formerly of Ashland, KY, entered the Church Triumphant on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods, KY. Mrs. Norris was born on September 11, 1924 in Bristol, TN to the late Carey and Bess Haynes Bandy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Norris was preceded in death one daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Norris Bogitsh; a son-in-law, Glen Bogitsh; and one sister, Betty Bandy Cruise. Mrs. Norris was a 1942 graduate of Ashland High School, was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and attended a masters program at Radcliffe College. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Mrs. Norris is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, James T. Norris Jr. of Flatwoods, KY; one son, James T. (Kelly) Norris III of Ashland, KY; two daughters, Susie (Jacob) Norris Epstein of Los Angeles, CA and Frances Norris of Van Nuys, CA; five grandchildren: Clark (Abby) Norris, Jane Ann (Brent) Goodwin, Sam, Natalie, and Thomas Epstein; two great grandchildren, Anna and Kate Goodwin; and a host of extended family and friends. There will be a private memorial service with Minister Joel Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the First Presbyterian Church in Ashland, KY (1600 Winchester Ave, Ashland, KY 41101) or CARES (Community Assistance & Referral Service, Inc.) in Ashland, KY (2516 Carter Ave, Ashland, KY 41101).
