Jerry David Huffman

Jerry David Huffman, 67, formerly of Greenup, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Maryville, TN at his residence.

Mr. Huffman was born March 23, 1957, in Ashland, KY, to the late Robert Harold Huffman and Nellie Faye Willis Huffman.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Dustin Huffman.

Jerry was an equipment operator at the Department of Highways for the state of Kentucky. Before moving to Tennessee, after retirement, he was an active member of Raceland Christian Church in Raceland, KY, and was over the Missions for many years. After moving, he was an active member of Partnership Christian Church in Maryville, TN. Throughout his time in Kentucky and Tennessee, he was also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Jerry will be remembered for his charisma, strong faith, his passion for horses, and unwavering spirit.

Mr. Huffman is survived by his loving wife Pamela Kaye Blevins Huffman of Maryville, TN; four daughters, Brandie (Josh) Layne of Ashland, KY, Olivia (Harrison) Shultz of Marion, TX, Nikki Miles of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Rachel Hicks of Maryville, TN; ten grandchildren: Lucas, Jace, Ryder, Caleb, Conner, Charlotte, Sterling, Vivian, Ethan, and Khloe; a brother, Rick (Angie) Huffman of Flatwoods, KY; his sister, Daphne (Jason) Platt of Peoria, AZ; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Raceland Christian Church (210 Caroline Road, Raceland, KY 41169) with Bro. Jason Lykins officiating. Burial will follow at Huffman Cemetery in Cannonsburg, KY. 

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.

The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
