Julia M Smith

Julia M. Sarver Smith, 83, of Coal Grove, OH, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Smith was born November 28, 1939, in Huntington, WV, to the late Benjamin P. and Kathleen Wells Sarver. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Smith; her son, Robert L. Smith Jr; and three brothers, Richard, Butch, and Jerry Sarver. Mrs. Smith was a salesman in her soul. She sold everything from Tupperware to Amway to Motorcycle Accessories. She was a graduate of Vinson High School in Huntington, WV. Julia was a devoted Christian and member of the New Jerusalem Christian Center in Ironton, OH where she loved to worship in singing and sign language. Julia is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Tim) Shea of Davenport, FL and Carol Sue Smith of Ironton, OH; eight grandchildren: Alan (Kimberly) Smith, Johnathan (Tabitha) Smith, Steven Krzynowek, Bruce Krzynowek, Joshua Csombok, Boyd (Allyson) Bush, Wendi Bush, and Joshua Bush; five great-grandchildren: Zack, Zoey, Torrie, Aidon, and Austin; one great-great-grandchild, Kasen; a daughter-in-law, Leslee Smith of Youngstown, OH; Tammy Wolverton Smith, of AR, and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Jason A. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Haverhill Cemetery in Haverhill, OH.
