Madeline W. Tucker, 86, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away, Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, KY. Mrs. Tucker was born July 18, 1925, in Boyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Charles Holbert and Willa Montgomery Wheatley.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Shippey; her second husband, Archie Tucker; four brothers:  James, Charles, David, and William Wheatley; and a grand daughter, Katrena Wooden. Mrs. Tucker was a retired special education teacher with the Ironton School System and a school system in Florida.  She was of the Episcopalian Faith.  She is survived by a loving family, including a son, Charles (Kathy) Shippey of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a daughter, Eugenia (Ernest) Wooden of Perry, Kansas; three grandchildren:  Matt Shippey, Scott Shippey, and Nathan Wooden;  two sisters, Matilda Zeller of Flatwoods and Isabelle Purdon of Lexington, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.   Memorial services will be arranged at the family’s convenience.  Bailey Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
