Mattie Louise Shockey Points

Mattie Louise Shockey Points, 75, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Kings Daughters Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 10, 1941, in McRoberts, KY; a daughter of the late O.W. Shockey and Lake Erie Blair Shockey. Ms. Points was also preceded in death by two brothers: O.W. Shockey Jr., and William "Billy" Ray Shockey, and one sister: Doris Jean Elliott. Ms. Points worked as a receptionist at Leon Coal in Ashland, KY. She is survived by her loving companion of six years, James R. "Bob" Musser and two daughters: Julie Adams of New Martinsville, WV, and Carrie Louis McClendon and her husband, Dale of Scottsboro, AL; four grandchildren: Raychal and Preston Stilgenbauer; Sarah and Drake McClendon; two sisters: Betty Mae Lovin of Ashland, KY, and Margret Ann Sturgill and her husband John of Ashland, KY; four nephews: William Scott Lovin, Jeffrey Stuart, John Sturgill, and Mason Sturgill ; three nieces: Stacy Stevens, Jonda Ribble and husband, Ray, Jill Pollard and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Mr. Garrett Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Friday, February 3, 2017 at funeral home. In addition to flowers, any donations can be made to Community Hospice.
