Michael Alan Hale

Michael Alan Hale, 72, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Mr. Hale was born on August 4, 1953, in Ashland, KY, to the late BW “Happy” and Ruth Kitchen Hale.

Mike was a loving father and family man. He was a retired Senior Captain for the Ashland Fire Department and was a Marine Vietnam War Veteran. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ceredo as well as a member of the Marine Corps League Local #1345.

Mr. Hale is survived by his son, Jacob Michael Hale of Catlettsburg, KY; two daughters, Katie Ruth Riley of Ashland, KY, and Christie Lea Robbins (Jason) of Summit, KY. Five granddaughters: Reagan Robbins, Ellie Riley, Mila Hale, Emmy Riley, and Vera Hale; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family has made private arrangements with Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY. 

Mr. Hale will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup, KY.
