Patricia Helen Boyd

Patricia “Helen” Fitzpatrick Boyd, 78, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Boyd was born on August 15, 1946, in Richardson, KY, to the late Bill Ray and Elsie Chaffin Fitzpatrick.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob and Bill Ray Fitzpatrick Jr, and five sisters, Eva Bowen, Nora Bowen, Magalene Bowen, Anna May Dameron, and Nedra Shell.

Helen was a clerk at Living Naturally Nutrition Center. She was a graduate of Louisa High School and a member of the Westwood Freewill Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Billy Joe Boyd of Flatwoods, KY; two sons, Bobby Gene (Wendy) Boyd of Flatwoods, KY and Billy Joe (Kim) Boyd Jr. of Ashland, KY; a daughter, Candace “Candy” Gwen (Bruce) Boyd Lemke of Columbia City, IN; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Fitzpatrick of North Carolina; a sister, Gwen McKenzie of Lousia, KY, and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Westwood Freewill Baptist Church in Westwood, KY, with Pastor Dwayne Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, KY.

Visitation will be held one hour before the memorial service on Friday at the church.

The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.
