Rudolph C. “Tobe” Fraley, 95, Ashland, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Fraley was born March 6, 1928, in Greenup, KY, to the late Adam C. and Cynthia Ann Fraley.
In addition to his parents Tobe was preceded in death by his loving wife of Fifty-one years, Daisy Greene Fraley; a son, Robert R. “Butch” Fraley; and ten siblings.
Mr. Fraley was a 1946 graduate of Boyd County High School and started working at Mansbach Metals at the age of eighteen hauling scrap. He then helped build Kentucky Electric Steel where he gained the title of Rolling Mill Supervisor until he retired at the age of seventy-six. Tobe loved golfing and gardening. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Fraley is survived by his daughter, Janie L. Taylor of Ashland, KY; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Lynn Fraley of Ashland, KY; four grandchildren: Leanita (Dominic) DuQuesnay of Perry, FL, Robert K. Taylor of Ashland, KY, Glenn C. Fraley of Flatwoods, KY, and Nikki Vance of Ashland, KY; six great-grandchildren: Jessica (Mack) Greene of Weedsport, NY, Alyssa (Joe) Doragh of Tallahassee, FL, Bren Vance of Catlettsburg, KY, Katrina Vance of Ashland, KY, Jackson Fraley of Flatwoods, KY, and Vivian Fraley of Flatwoods, KY; two great great-granddaughters: Railynn Nelson and Raven Nelson; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Sheldon Wheeler and Elder Steve Fraley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY.
Visitation will be one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
