Ruth A. Sizemore, 85, of Greenup, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Sizemore was born September 6, 1934, in Worthington, KY, to the late Herb Hannah and Daisy Artis Hannah Sizemore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sizemore was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold L. Sizemore; a son, Larry R. Sizemore; and two sisters: Minnie Belle Sizemore and Emogene Bailey; and special friends: Alice Scaggs, Paul Worthington, and Connie Plummer. Nelle was a homemaker and a caregiver to many. She was a 1952 graduate of Greenup County High School. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Nelle was a great cook and loved to cook for her family/friends. She enjoyed traveling and made it to every state except for two. Anyone that knew her, knew she loved her family. Nelle loved the Lord, and was a member at Worthington First Baptist Church, in Worthington, KY as well as The Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Sizemore is survived by two sons, Robert “Bob” (Tammy) Sizemore and Charles Jay (Jonda) Sizemore both of Greenup, KY; a daughter, Cheryl Sizemore of Flatwoods, KY; six grandchildren: Angela (Mike) Yondolino, Joseph Sizemore, Luke (Amy) Sizemore, Hannah (Colt) Royster, Thom Tetreault, LaTosha (Jeff) Hamm; extended grand-children: Megan Denton Sizemore and Crystal Facchinetti; eight great-grandchildren: Scott Yondolino, Nina Yondolino, Simon Sizemore, Addie Joe Sizemore, Barron Royster, Amberly Bradford, Jensen Hamm, and Sydney Napier; two great-great-grandchildren: Bella Yondolino and Lennon Seay; one brother, Buck (Doris) Hannah of Lloyd, KY; two sisters, Roxie Vanbibber of Wurtland, KY and Orthella Frasure of Raceland, KY; family pet, Blu; special friends, Hazel Lee of Worthington, KY, Naomi Browning of Worthington, KY, JR Sizemore of Greenup, KY, Cheri Frasure of Raceland, KY, Judy Gayten of Texas, and Lois Worthington of Greenup, KY. In honor of Nelle’s wishes, there will be a graveside service at 1 P.M. on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, KY with Bro. Phil Stephens officiating. All friends and family are welcome to attend. The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.
