Stephanie Mae Blevins
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved granddaughter, Stephanie Mae Blevins, who was born on September 22, 1989, and passed away on September 9, 2026.
Stephanie was deeply loved by her family and by the many people whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her warmth, generous spirit, and the love she shared so freely. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Stephanie devoted an important part of her life to nursing, a profession that reflected her caring nature and ability to connect with others. During her nursing career, she worked with UK KDMC Orthopedics, alongside Dr. Sinan Ozgur and the orthopedic team. Her years in nursing brought her many valued relationships, friendships, and memories and remained an important part of her life.
Stephanie’s greatest legacy is her family. The love she had for those closest to her, especially the children in her life, will continue long after her passing. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of the family who loved her beyond words.
Stephanie is survived by her devoted companion, Zachary Williams; her children, Elaina DeLong, Gabrielle Gates, and Charles Luke Gates; her stepdaughter, Stormie Gates; her grandparents, Jetta Todd and Charles Foltz; her brother, William Nicholas Blevins (Lauren); her sister, Robin Blevins; her aunts, Dena Rissman (Rick) and Brandy Tourville (Tyler); her uncle, James Travis Todd (Amber); her nephews, Michael Knuckles and Gabriel Blevins; her niece, Ruby Belle Blevins; and the other children and members of her extended family who loved her dearly.
During Stephanie’s illness, her family is especially grateful to the physicians, nurses, hospice caregivers, and all others who cared for her with compassion and dignity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the care, kindness, and support shown to Stephanie and her family during this extraordinarily difficult time.
Stephanie’s life cannot be measured simply by the number of years she was here. It is measured by the memories she created, the people she loved, the laughter and tears she shared, and the lives forever changed because she was part of them.
Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we will carry Stephanie with us—in our stories, our memories, the faces of those she loved, and the countless reminders of her that will remain.
There will be a celebration of life in her honor at a future date.
