William Wheeler Palmer

William Wheeler Palmer, 86, of Lancaster, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at his residence in Ashland, KY.

Mr. Palmer was born May 17, 1937, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Milton Palmer and Doris Evelyn Wheeler Palmer.

William was a social worker for Erie County Home in Buffalo, NY. He earned a master's degree in social work from SUNY Buffalo University in Buffalo, NY, and attended Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He was a United States Army Veteran and attended Calvary Episcopal Church in Ashland, KY.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Palmer of Bellefonte, KY; a stepson, Ryan Lother of Flatwoods, KY; a stepdaughter, Stephanie (John) Lewis of St. Simon Island, GA; four step-grandchildren: Susan Hembroff, Avery Lother, Kenton Lother, Ian Lother; and a host of extended family and friends.

Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Calvary Episcopal Church (1337 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY 41101).
